INTRODUCTION


TF Energy successfully installed a 5.34 kW solar PV system with battery storage at the Finsbury Park Trust property on Seven Sisters Road. This project, funded by the Islington Sustainability Grant, aimed to reduce energy bills and consumption while supporting net zero targets. Project Overview

Safety Planning

Carefully designed scaffolding erected from beams over first-floor level

with gantry bridge over pitched roof to rear flat roofs.

Access Management

Safety marshals, barriers and permits implemented to safely hoist equipment

up the front of the building.

operations for staff and visitors throughout installation.

Enabling Works

Careful removal and reinstatement of shutters, cupboards, and radiators

Moisture Treatment

Addressed damp issues through repairs, specialist treatment, and coordination with Camden Council for additional maintenanc  requirements.

System Upgrades

Installed new K2 radiators with TRVs, performed powerflush and system

balancing to improve circulation despite existing boiler limitations.

Installation Process

1. Scaffolding installation and equipment delivery to roof

2. Electricians installed inverter and battery units internally

3. All cables run and sealed at building entry points

4. System connected to grid and made live

5. Solar engineers installed mounting system and panels

6. Optimisers installed to panels

Successful Completion

The entire installation was completed in just three days. The project concluded with a full demonstration of the new equipment to trust management, provision of instruction manuals, and registration of manufacturer warranties. The client was satisfied with the system, which is now working perfectly.
